I’m pumped to share this recipe with you – many of you ask me about healthier ways to make your favorite foods, or ways to make them more plant-based, and I’m always happy to help you figure it out.
Buffalo cauliflower is a great way to satisfy my cravings for wings, spicy food, or even when I need a great filler for wraps.
Here’s how it’s done.
1 head of cauliflower
1 cup whole wheat flour or flour of your choice
1 cup almond milk
at least 1/2 cup hot sauce
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
Here’s what to do:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces
Combine flour, salt/pepper, powders, and water in a bowl and mix until the clumps are gone
Add the cauliflower bites into this batter until they are fully coated
Spray a cookie or baking pan with the oil and add the cauliflower bites, shaking off excess batter. Make sure they are spread evenly on the pan.
Bake at 400 for 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through
After 20 minutes, remove the cauliflower but keep the oven on.
Pour as much hot sauce as you want and mix until the bites are evenly coated, them spread them evenly and place back into the oven.
They’ll start to crisp up after about 15 more minutes, but I like to keep them back in there for at least 20.
Remove them from the oven after the 20 additional minutes and let them sit before you eat.
I love dipping these in vegan ranch, but I didn’t have any when I made these, so I used guac instead.. Just as good.
